Russian Ring Necklaces
Have you ever wondered about how the Russian Ring Necklace got its name? What exactly has it got to do with 'Russia' and is there a specific meaning behind the name? Well, read on to find out more...
The Russian Ring Necklace is based on the design of a traditional Russian Wedding Ring. This design came to prominence in the 19th century and its roots are based in the Christian Orthodox religion. Commonly made from three interlinked bands of yellow, rose and white gold, a Russian Wedding Ring is worn on the right hand and is said to represent the Holy Trinity, namely; The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Or to look at it another way, the rings can be said to represent the past, present and future of the couple. Other names given to this symbolic piece of jewellery include: Triple Rolling Ring, Trinity Ring or Faith, Hope and Love Ring.
Our collection of Personalised Russian Ring Necklaces are a modern take on this old Russian tradition. Our rings come in different styles that include beaded, textured or plain sterling silver and we can even include a fabulous gemstone of your choosing to add a little extra bling. Our necklaces can be personalised to add the names of your children, sisters or best friends - the choice is yours! And of course we know that historically these items should be made up from three rings only, but due to popular demand we have also included four and five ring versions, well we didn't want mums with more than three children to miss out.
