Russian Ring Jewellery

Have you ever wondered about how the Russian Ring Necklace got its name? What exactly has it got to do with 'Russia' and is there a specific meaning behind the name? Well, read on to find out more...

The items you see today are based on the design of a traditional Russian Wedding Ring. This design came to prominence in the 19th century and its roots are based in the Christian Orthodox religion. Commonly made from three interlinked bands of yellow, rose and white gold, a Russian Wedding Ring is worn on the right hand and is said to represent the Holy Trinity, namely; The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Or to look at it another way, the rings can be said to represent the past, present and future of the couple. Other names given to this symbolic piece of jewellery include: Triple Rolling Ring, Trinity Ring or Faith, Hope and Love Ring.

Our Russian Ring Jewellery collection is a modern take on this old Russian tradition. Our sterling silver pendants come in a combination of different styles that include beaded, textured or plain and we can even include a fabulous gemstone of your choosing to add a little extra bling.
